KINGSTON, Jamaica – An exciting Sunday (April 17) Open Allowance call at five furlongs round awaits racing fans with the seven horses entered sure to produce an encounter to remember.
THE QUICK GALLOPER’s analysis is provided for readers.
Generational by Fearless Vision – Electrifying, trained by Rowan has defied the odds by reaching this level. Generational has raced once in Open Allowance and against these hot steppers can only hope for a minor share.
Secret Identity by Bern Identity – Pomeroy’s Secret, trained by Tensang Chung is the real speed in the event. Secret Identity has started twice in Open Allowance and is earning her spurs. She will need to produce her best run yet to hold off the charging brigade in the final furlong.
Nuclear Noon by Nuclear Wayne – Noon It Is, trained by Anthony Nunes went down from Open Allowance to score in Overnight at five furlongs straight when last at the races. Nuclear Noon’s foray in Open Allowance was unsuccessful but he has been consistent, especially in the shorter distances. He has the necessary pace to be with the leader (s) in the early part of the race and then strike in the final two furlongs. This four-year-old is presented with his best opportunity of breaking through in this grade.
Laban by Sensational Slam by For Trixie, trained by Richard Azan apart for his last race (tenth) has been consistent in all his Open Allowance races. Laban with the champion jockey Anthony Thomas in the saddle is suited to the distance, and he expected to sit close to the pacesetter (s) and then make his move for victory in the straight. Laban on Sunday races with the blinkers on.
Duke by Casual Trick Lady - MacBeth trained by Gary Subratie after four moderate efforts this season is slowly finding himself. Duke finished third, four lengths behind Further and Beyond, to advertise his well-being for this encounter. This six-year-old at his best will be sitting pretty behind the leader and then move when ready in the last two furlongs.
Race Car a US bred by Race Day – Mc Duffie trained by Spencer Chung has been performing well in his three outings since returning from a long break because of injury. In the second of those three runs Race Car was successful at the same distance as this race. As such, with the tongue tie now fitted, Race Car has every chance of winning.
Dejae’s Boy by Storm Craft – Dream Big, trained by O’Neil Markland will have to run the best race of his life to win this one.
