KINGSTON, Jamaica – With a number of carryovers on today’s (Sunday, August 16) programme at Caymanas Park, punters got off a sluggish start.

The first event was an Optional Claimer ($250,000 - $200,000) for three-year-olds and upwards coming down the five straight course and it was the two horses drawn on the outside Supreme Authority (Paul Francis) and Prince Sammo (Dane Nelson) who matched strides from the off.

Foreigner Supreme Authority trained by in form conditioner Ryan Darby held a strong gallop throughout and was pulling away at the end winning at odds of 11-1.

Prince Sammo was second and Dallas third.
