KINGSTON, Jamaican – Without even a hint of contradiction, Summer Sun racing over his favourite distance of nine furlongs and 25 yards again emerged as the winner at the trip.

Summer Sun, an American importee got bounced when the gates were opened in the two-turn Non-Restricted Overnight Allowance event forcing his rider apprentice Raddesh Roman to keep his mount behind the leaders Jamai Raja and Sergeant Reckless as the horses travelled down the backstretch.

Jamai Raja (Roger Hewitt) entered the straight with a slight advantage but by then Roman had Summer Sun now on the wide outside in full flight and the American swept by easilyand then moved on to win by two comfortable lengths.

Another American My Elle Belle (Aaron Cherie) covered ground well to be second with Hover Craft (Omar Walker) third.

Trained by Wayne DaCosta, the winning time done by Summer Sun was 1:55.3.

This was the second winner on the day for Roman.
