KINGSTON, Jamaica – The trainer | owner combination of Carlton Watson and Jason DaCosta respectively, sealed a quick double in the Caymanas Sunday fifth with Sudden Flight an easy winner. The combination of Watson and DaCosta was successful in the fourth event with Morse Code.
Sudden Flight with Jerome Innis gaining a chance ride started well and maintained a steady gallop throughout the five furlong straight distance for horses in the claiming bracket of $550,000 - $500,000.
Sudden Flight was challenged for the first three furlongs by former stable companion Gentle Giant (Oneil Mullings), but once the horses hit the main track it was all over. Sudden Flight won by 5 ½ lengths.
Lala Diva (Anthony Thomas) finished second with the third spot taken by City Counsel (Chris Mamdeen).
