KINGSTON, Jamaica - The None Such Sprint Trophy is the main event on Saturday, September 14, 2024.
The None Such is a Graded Stakes/Open Allowance contest for three-year-olds and upward going 6 furlongs.
1 - DESERT OF MALIBU — Returns to competitive action after a five-month break, boasting an impressive record of seven wins from nine starts including a win over tomorrow’s distance. Desert of Malibu has her health issues, but is a top performer, who has a proven record of excellence. She has been training well with a smart 1:07.0 exercise clocking over 5 ½ furlongs on September 8. She is expected to be harassed on the headlines but Desert of Malibu can sit off the pace and deal with matters effectively in the straight. Having not raced in such a long time is not considered to be a problem for Desert of Malibu.
2 - INSPIRE FORCE - Has failed to impress in his two starts in this class and is not expected to contend.
3 - IS THAT A FACT - Enters this event in top form, with four wins and four second-place finishes from eight starts this season. His recent five-length victory on July 13 was a clear demonstration of his ability. On Saturday, Is That A Fact tops the handicaps carrying a top weight of 126 lbs, which should not be a hindrance, especially given that his main protagonist is just a pound below. He will race off what is expected to be fast pace and then strike in the final two furlongs.
4 -JUSTIN BIDEN - The fact that Justin Biden has reached this grade is a significant achievement by his connections. Cannot handle these opponents.
5 - FEARLESS SOUL - Did well to be a part of this grouping but is not ready for a winning effort.
6 - WALL STREET TRADER - Has a record of three wins and two second-place finishes from six starts. Although this is his toughest assignment, he is expected to do well without winning.
7 - MADELYN’S SUNSHINE - Ran a decent race on August 10 and will appreciate the reduced distance. Given her stable connection with Is That A Fact, Madelyn’s Sunshine is expected to burn the headlines for as long as possible, thereby paving the way for the late charge of Is That A Fact.
