Storm Princess does the trick in 6th for veteran trainer Fernando Geddes

GEDDES FERNANDO BAKER ANTONIO APRIL 11 - 457

KINGSTON, Jamaica - It was a ding dong battle in the sixth of 11 races on the Sunday card for most of the stretch drive involving Storm Princess (Reyan Lewis – 6-1) and Fort Knox (Robert Halledeen) as the 4-5 odds on favourite.

Fort Knox gained the ascendency but Storm Princess trained by veteran Fernando Geddes was in no mood to give up; fighting every step of the way to gain back the lead half-a-furlong out.

Then in the final yardage of this 6-furlong contest for five-year-olds and upwards – non winners of three, Sunshine Cat (Daniel Satchell 16-1) and Cartel (Kiaman McGregor 6-5) came tumbling down, the former on the outside and the latter on the inside rails.

Somehow, Storm Princess survived by a short-head with Sunshine Cat in second and Cartel third. Fort Knox ended fourth.
