St Cecelia’s offspring Attorney General takes Eighth Thirty Sprint

KINGSTON, Jamaica – A busy Aaron Chatrie after failing to get a good start brought Attorney General from the number two draw to the outside (inner rails) and with an increased effort in the last furlong of the five-furlong straight contest was able to get the job done.

Attorney General, a three-year-old grey filly by American Dance – St Cecelia racing for the second time captured the Eight Thirty Sprint, a filly’s only event, in a time of 1:01.1. Just one race before, in the Mercury Sprint (colts and geldings, Adoration won in a time of 1:00.3.

Trained by Spencer Chung, Attorney General ran splits of 23.0 x 47.0.

Second went to 17-1 chance Just An Illusion (Kerry-Gayl Robinson) with Gorgeous Gift (Douglas Badaloo – 43-1) third.
