The eighth race of nine on Saturday, May 3, 2025, is the annual Reggae Trophy.

This event is a Graded Stakes/Open Allowance race for three-year-olds and older, covering a distance of five furlongs straight.

Six horses are entered, and below is the Quick Whisperer’s analysis for your consideration.

  1. **DIGITAL ONE**: After a promising start to her career, this horse initially faded from the spotlight, leading some to label her as a one-hit wonder. However, Digital One has made a comeback with three consecutive wins. Currently in excellent form, she has demonstrated her capability on the straight chute. With a fast pace expected and the champion jockey riding, Digital One is certainly a contender to watch.
  1. **PACK PLAYS**: This horse returned to winning form on April 19, with an impressive victory in the St. Cecelia Cup over 6½ furlongs. Pack Plays will benefit from a weight reduction due to the apprentice jockey. Known for his speed, he will need careful management, especially with several other fast horses in the race.
  1. **BOOTYLICIOUS**: This horse had her three-race winning streak broken when she finished third behind Digital One and California Crown over 5½ furlongs on March 8. Bootylicious is a pure speedster and has recently finished ahead of both Pack Plays and Digital One in previous races. She thrives on the straight, making her a horse to catch.
  1. **MAMMA MIA**: This mare is struggling to compete against top contenders and is expected to have a tough time again in this race.
  1. **IS THAT A FACT**: This horse has not performed at his best lately, but his class and talent make him a potential dark horse in this field.
  1. **CHAMPION BUBBLER**: Stepping up to the top grade for the first time, Champion Bubbler is about to embark on a significant learning experience.
