KINGSTON, Jamaica – The second race of nine on Saturday, May 31, 2025, features top claimers ($1.5 - $1.2 million) with six horses entered to compete. The event covers a mile, with the following race analysis provided by The Quick Galloper.
1 – RANI BANGALA is a regular at this level, delivering consistent performances. While expected to play a role in this one, a winning effort seems unlikely. Note that Rani Bangala races with the blinkers off.
2 – SONNY T AND CHIPPY has been alternating between claiming ranks and Overnight Allowance in recent outings. His last win came two races ago in claiming, and the mile distance is well within his capabilities. With experience and class on his side, Sonny T And Chippy has a strong chance to secure his eighth victory from 31 career starts.
3 – GILBERT has not found success since October 2024. In his most recent race (March 29), he finished far behind Sonny T And Chippy over seven furlongs. Since then, there has been little indication of improvement.
4 – MONEY MISER returned to competitive racing just seven days ago with an underwhelming run over 5 ½ furlongs. That race served as a warm-up, and with the mile distance being more suitable, Money Miser is expected to continue his development in his claiming debut.
5 – BERN NOTICE has emerged as one of the top performers among claimers. He renews his rivalry with Sonny T And Chippy, who defeated him by 1 ½ lengths over seven furlongs on March 29.
6 – STORM A COME steps up from lower claiming ranks but does not appear to have a realistic chance of securing victory in this event.

Sony T and Chippy should be winning this race a long way out. Somehow these favorites seem to lose most of the times
