Millinium Star with Paul Francis in the saddle was disqualified and placed second. This gave victory to 2-1 chance Sneaky Joe, trained by Edward Stanberry with Phillip Parchment in the saddle.
Run over six furlongs, that first race was for maiden horses four-year-olds and upwards.
