KINGSTON, Jamaica – A ride of patience, allied with confidence by champion jockey Dane Dawkins brought an exhilarating victory for the Richard Azan trained Slammer in the Caymanas, Saturday, September 9, 2023, fifth.
That event was a four-year-old and upwards non-winners of four call at 6 ½ furlongs.
Dawkins kept Slammer well off the pace throughout, then found space in between two horses in the final hop of the straight to get the job done.
