Prncsshootingstar closes a double for Philip Feanny, Linton Steadman

KINGSTON, Jamaica – Prncsshootingstar reconfirmed her early reputation and class with a distinctive win in the 2022 edition of the 6-furlong Hot Line Stakes, for three-year-old horses – non-winners of two races. This was the seasonal debut for the filly.
Prncsshootingstar (Buzz Nightmare – Khaleesi’s Revenge) was pushed into the lead by jockey Linton Steadman, who controlled the speed well down the backstretch and also while rounding the turn. The Philip Feanny trained Prncsshootingstar was followed by A Gift From Ben (Youville Pinnock), and Silent Mission (Anthony Thomas).
In the straight, it was still Prncsshootingstar in command with Silent Mission to only one likely to get close, but the winner this time around was strong and resolute winning by 1 ¾ lengths. Silent Mission was second and A Gift From Ben third.
Prncsshootingstar closed a double for Steadman and Feanny, with Steadman winning before on Nefertari, and Feanny with I’ve Got Magic.
