KINGSTON, Jamaica – Five-year-old chestnut mare, She's My Destiny, made her final racetrack appearance yesterday (Sat, December 23, 2023) and will now be officially retired.

The Bern Identity out of Woman Is Boss offspring, bred by Karen Parsard and trained first by Wayne DaCosta and later by his son Jason, is jointly owned by Everton Rose and Akim Mahadiow.

She retires with a career record of 26 starts, comprising 13 wins, two second-place finishes, and three thirds for overall earnings of just over $11.5 million.

In 2023 alone, She's My Destiny secured five wins from ten starts.

"At first, She's My Destiny will go to HAM Stables, where she will be served by resident stallion Sensational Slam. Then she will be boarded at Orange Valley," Mahadiow informed us in a telephone interview. He quickly added: "This horse has brought us owners so much joy. It has been an incredible journey."

She’s My Destiny's last win came on October 16 in the Gold Cup.

Let us relive that performance.
