One, two, three, four finish for Jason DaCosta

KINGSTON, Jamaica – Four-year-old chestnut filly She’s My Destiny (Bern Identity – Woman Is Boss) continued to demonstrate his pure class and ability when she strolled to victory in the Caymanas Sunday second.

The Caymanas Sunday second was for three and four-year-old and upwards horses (non-winners of four races) going seven furlongs.

Trained by Jason DaCosta with champion jockey Anthony Thomas in the saddle, Sweet Destiny smoothly went to the front and for about the first two furlongs Sudden Flight (Andre Powell) tried their best to keep up but it was all in vain.

She’s My Destiny with the minimum amount of fuss, started to spreadeagle the field with Thomas not breaking a sweat.

In the straight, She’s My Destiny was eased down and still managed to clock 1:25.1 with a six-furlong split of 1:10.3 seconds. With this her fourth career win from five starts, She’s My Destiny has now reached the Overnight Allowance grade.

Second went to Ianzha Links (Jerome Innis), with Three Times Lucky (Javaniel Patterson) occupying the third slot. The first four horses past the post were all trained by DaCosta.

This was the first winner for Thomas in 2022.
