KINGSTON, Jamaica - The newly minted Portmore Stakes, which will have its first staging on May 1, 2021 has attracted 15 provisional starters.
The Portmore is a 7 1/2 furlong contest for three-year-old fillies and is a new addition to the roster of preparation races for the Classic races. Next week the Kingston Stakes for three-year-old colts and geldings will be run.
Topping the list of the provisional starters is She's A Wonder trained by Ian Parsard, the recent winner of the Thornbird Stakes.
