KINGSTON, Jamaica – She’s A Wonder after finishing second behind now champion two-year-old Further and Beyond in December of last year confirmed her class with an eye-catching performance racing for the first time this season.

Trained by Ian Parsard, who allocated the riding duties to the jockey Dane Dawkins, She’s A Wonder known for her speed decided to wait as first timer foreigner Lure of Lucy from the one draw set off to make the early fractions.

But after they travelled a furlong and a half, Dawkins said enough was enough and asked the three-year-old bay filly by Bern Identity – Jamaican Dream to accelerate and she obliged by swooping to the lead.

In the straight, She’s A Wonder quickened impressively to win in a time of 59.3 seconds on a slow track.

Lure of Lucy stayed on well for second with Miniature Man third.
