KINGSTON, Jamaica – The 2018 Derby winner Drone Strike turned the Caymanas Monday into a procession.
Drone Strike ridden by Shane Ellis and trained by Errol Subratie racing now at the optional claiming level of $550,000 - $500, 000 took the lead with three furlongs to go in the mile contest and was never in danger of losing thereafter.
Drone Strike won by 5 ½ lengths with Inspired Miracle (Tevin Foster replacing Robert Halledeen) in second and Tradition (Chris Mamdeen) third.
This was Ellis’ second winner on the day.
