KINGSTON, Jamaica – Four late non-starters from 16, did not distract from the competitiveness of the Caymanas Saturday sixth.
With three-year-olds and upwards claiming horses ($250,000 - $200,000) racing down the five-straight course, Ellis waited until late to get Smarty Tradition going and when he did, the Gary Griffiths trainee flew by rivals to win with easy. Smarty Tradition was at odds of 17-1.
Blu Attitude (Matthew Bennett) was second and Mamacita (Dane Nelson) third.
