KINGSTON, Jamaica – Sentient now in his ‘ackee’ at four years, gave a command performance to earn an emphatic victory in the night pan as the Caymanas Park 10-race card came to an end a short while ago.

Ridden by Robert Halledeen for trainer Gary Subratie, Sentient as expected could not go with the stifling early pace set by God of Love (Oshane Nugent) and Sir Alton (Anthony Thomas) in the Open Allowance call travelling six furlongs.

The early fractions were recorded at 22.2 x 44.4.

Sentient entered the straight behind a number of horses but as the leaders began to falter Halledeen started to pump and Sentient responded with a searing charge to win easily in a final time of 1:11.3.

Sir Alton was second and God of Love third.

This was Sentient’s third win in succession and was the second on the day for Subratie.
