KINGSTON, Jamaica - The final race of the day on Saturday, February 15, 2025, honours trainer James B Dawes.

The James B Dawes Memorial Trophy is an Overnight Allowance race for horses aged three and older, covering a distance of 5 ½ furlongs.

A total of eleven horses are set to compete, with The Quick Galloper providing the following evaluations in draw order:

1 - INSPIRE FORCE (USA): Though not currently in great form, Inspire Force has previously succeeded at this level and should not be overlooked.

2 - BIG ARGUMENT: Currently appears outmatched in this competition.

3 - MRS LYNDHURST: Since joining the Overnight Allowance category in August 2024, Mrs Lyndhurst has frequently finished in the top positions, making her a solid choice for exotic bets.

4 - MONEY MISER: The distance might pose a challenge for Money Miser, yet her class could still make her a contender.

5 - A GIFT FROM BEN: Has struggled to show the capability to compete with the leading contenders. Notably, A Gift From Ben will race with a tongue tie on.

6 - JORDON REIGN’S: A former top competitor, Jordon Reign's has struggled recently. After re-entering the Overnight Allowance on December 14 and finishing last, his talent is undeniable, but he has faced numerous obstacles throughout his career. Should he perform at his best, he could dominate the race.

7 - SENSATIONAL MOVE: A consistently strong performer, Sensational Move is ready for a victory. Just recently, he was narrowly defeated by California Crown by 2 lengths over a 5-furlong distance. Now, with the extra half-furlong, he may seize this opportunity to win.

8 - TAURUS BOY (USA): Returning to the Overnight Allowance after a recent victory in a high claiming race just six days ago, Taurus Boy faces a tough challenge ahead.

9 - FREEDOM STREET: Maintains a steady performance record but has yet to secure a win. Freedom Street is likely to place in the top four.

10 - BANADURA: A previous Classic race winner, Banadura has struggled against competitors at this level. As a speedster, the 5 ½ furlongs distance could suit her well.

11 - FEARLESS FORCE: A recent victor, but chances of repeating that success seem slim. Despite winning her last race, she may find it difficult to replicate that performance in this outing.
