KINGSTON, Jamaica – In an exhilarating performance, three-year-old bay filly Secret Identity (Bern Notice – Pomeroy’s Secret) blazed down the five straight course in a time of 56.3 seconds which was just two-fifths of second off the existing track record.
Trained by Tensang Chung and ridden by Javaniel Patterson, Secret Identity scorching effort came in the Caymanas Tuesday sixth, which was a three-year-old (non-winners of four) call. It should be noted that Secret Identity although racing in a non-winners of four contest was winning for the third occasion.
When the starter let them go, it was Nuclear Noon (Robert Halledeen), who although not getting a clean break, was the leader on the outside with Secret Identity prominent in the middle of the track.
With a furlong to go, Secret Identity went into a gear never seen before to win by three lengths. Nuclear Noon held for second with Unruly Boss third.
