KINGSTON, Jamaica – This weekend with see double race days on Saturday (June 18) and Sunday (June 19).
The feature on Saturday is the Valbert Marlowe Memorial Trophy for four-year-olds and upwards (non-winners of four races) at nine furlongs. This is a fitting tribute to former conditioner Marlowe, who for years had his stables located behind the start of the nine-furlong marker on the Caymanas Park course.
On Sunday, the feature is the Mr Lover Lover Trophy, in honour of the former Derby winner in Jamaica and Trinidad and Tobago. The Mr Lover Lover is for three-year-olds (non-winners of two) over nine furlongs and 25 yards.
