KINGSTON, Jamaica - Despite the presence of the BetMakers Trophy feature, the three-year-old and upwards Overnight Allowance contest going 5 furlongs (1,000m) round should draw the most attention on the nine-race programme tomorrow (Sat, Nov 5, 2022), at Caymanas Park.
Below is the breakdown of the chances of each starter in their post-position order.
  1. BATON ROUGE: (4 b g by Natural Selection – Little Wasp)— Better off in claiming company.
  1. EXECUTIVE CHIEF: (5 b h by Casual Trick – Tashara) – Did well to reach this class. Executive Chief will be hard-pressed to even hit the board.
  1. WILL THE CONQUERER: (4 gr g by 4 gr g by American Dance – Palace Gold) – Saves his best races for the five-straight course. Although competitive at times on the round course, Will The Conquerer is going to be left behind.
  1. PRINCE MARSHALL: (4 ch g by War Marshall—Princess Shine) – Finished down the track on his first attempt at this level. Little or no improvement is expected from Prince Marshall.
  1. GOD OF LOVE: (6 b g by Adore The Gold – Shanda D) – Easily the best horse in the line-up. God of Love finished down the track in the None Such Sprint over six furlongs (1,200m) on September 10. That was in the class above and now he steps down here to contest. God of Love has been given the perfect opportunity to add another tick in his win column.
  1. LABAN: (5 g h by Sensational Slam – For Trixie) – Came home encouragingly in second place behind Duke in the Cash Pot “Super Dash” Trophy over this distance in the class above on October 29. Based on that run Laban, who is down in class, is the main threat to God of Love.
  1. GENERATIONAL: (5 ch g by Fearless Vision—Electrifying) — Holding his form well at this level. Generational has been showing speed in his races, making the quick sprint on the round not a problem for him. Generational is expected to do well and is therefore expected to hit the board.
  1. GOLDEN WATTLE: (3 ch f by Lion Tamer – Golden Glory) – Finally got her first win for the season when she won over the straight course on October 16. Golden Wattle should again not find this trip too sharp and could run surprisingly well coming from off the pace.
  1. DUNROBIN: (9 by g by Blue Pepsi Lodge – En Vogue) – Lacks the class of these and can be safely bypassed.
