2-5 favourite Brinks finishes third

KINGSTON, Jamaica – The lone foreigner in the field of five runners, Runaway Algo convincingly dispatched local rivals to win the Caymanas Saturday (March 12) second.
Runaway Algo notched his third consecutive win to reach the Overnight Allowance grade in a three-year-old and upwards non-winners of four call for locally bred horses and a non-three for three-year-olds and upwards foreign bred horses going 6 ½ furlongs.
With Shane Ellis in the saddle for trainer Dale Murphy, Runaway Algo shot to the lead when the starter let them go followed by the 2-5 favourite Brinks (Omar Walker) and Deezi (Anthony Thomas).
Runaway Algo was easy on the lead when entering the straight with Brinks, Press Conference (Paul Francis), and Deezi following.
Deezi proved to be the best of the challengers as he surged forward cutting down the lead on Runaway Away who despite shortening held firm to win by 1 ½ lengths. Deezi was second with Brinks 4 ½ lengths behind.
