KINGSTON, Jamaica - The seventh race on Saturday, October 5, 2024, is for three and four-year-olds non-winners of four for locally bred horses, and also for imported three-year-olds and upward non-winners of three races.

All seven horses entered to travel a mile are three-year-olds.

The analysis by The Quick Galloper is provided below in draw order.

1 - IMPRESSIVE FORCE is a bay colt (born on March 1) from the USA, sired by Klimt out of Onebadkitty, trained by Philip Feanny with Raddesh Roman riding. This foreigner has won two out of two starts and faces stiff competition for the first time, especially carrying top weight of 126 lbs. The only drawback is that Impressive Force is traveling longer than six furlongs for the first time.

2- PLAYFAIR is a bay colt (born on April 26) by Sensational Slam out of I Am The One, trained by Anthony Nunes with Matthew Bennett in the saddle. It took a while to earn his second victory, yet against these, Playfair will be found wanting.

3 - RUN JULIE RUN is a grey filly (born on May 6) by Successful Native out of Runaway Julie, trained by Ian Parsard with Reyan Lewis aboard. Run Julie Run finished a half a length behind Crown Chaser in the 12-furlong Jamaica Derby on August 6. This is the first time since then that she will be facing the starter, and she is well prepared for the journey of a mile.

4 - COMEHOMETOME is a bay filly (born on January 29) by Northern Giant out of Heart of Gold, trained by Jason DaCosta with Tevin Foster holding the reins. Comehometome finally came to the three-year-old party with a win in the Winston Griffiths Trophy after failed attempts in The Portmore and the 1000 Guineas. Comehometome has been well held by Run Julie in the major three-year-old races thus far, with a change not expected on Saturday.

5 - BLU SENSATION is a bay filly (born on February 12) by Sensational Slam out of Blues In The Grass, trained by Peter-John Parsard with Victor Sanchez in the irons. Simply put, Blu Sensation cannot handle these at this time.

6 - FIRECRACKER is a bay filly (born on March 12) by Hedge Fund out of Lightning Lily, trained by Philip Feanny with Shavon Towsend riding. This filly has two wins from her six starts. Her rivals on Saturday will provide difficult opposition for Firecracker.

7 - ALLEGIANCE is a chestnut colt (born on February 26) by Midnight Hawk out of Princess Geeta, trained by Anthony Nunes with Omar Walker aboard. This colt has turned around his form in his last three outings, including a second place in the Winston Griffiths behind Comehometome. Winning at this level will have to wait.
