After a fifth-place finish in the Ian Levy Cup on April 5, 2025, Run Julie Run bounced back on Sunday, April 27, with a victory in the Legal Light Trophy.

Trained by Ian Parsard, Run Julie Run was the favorite in the Open Allowance race for horses aged three and older, and she delivered with a strong performance.

Jockey Reyan Lewis guided her to a 2 ¾-length win, clocking 1:57.0 over the 9 furlongs and 25 yards distance.

Lewis noted Run Julie Run's performance, saying, "The instructions were very simple. Two stable horses in the race, Run Julie Run and Geolithic, and I knew that Geolithic is a leader and so I didn’t have to run down the headline.

“I just had Run Julie Run in a relaxing pace and took over from the three-furlong marker and that was that,” he said in his post-race interview.

He added, "She gave me the kick that I wanted. She is a very nice horse and I can’t take anything from her. I wasn’t worried about any other runners in the race.”

Lewis kept Run Julie Run off the pace, skillfully navigating the field, stalking early leaders Geolithic and Neo Star as they approached the clubhouse turn and the main track.

Holding a comfortable gallop down the backstretch, Run Julie Run settled into second place behind Geolithic as they entered the half-mile turn. As they approached the finish, she took control with a surge of speed that left the competition behind. With ease, she crossed the line, securing a convincing win in the Legal Trophy.
