KINGSTON, Jamaica – Old timer Royal Vibes (nine-years-old) added another winning notch to his racing career when he took the first of 10-races on the Bearings and Accessories Limited sponsored Saturday card at Caymanas Park.
Ridden by Phillip Parchment and trained by Wayne DaCosta, Royal Vibes came from way behind the cluster of leaders to triumph in the Optional Claiming ($750,000 - $700,000) event which was a 7 ½ furlongs contest.
Royal Vibes achieved his latest victory even after being interfered with in the straight by eventual second by the post Atlantic Blue ridden by apprentice Raddesh Roman.
Third was Storm with Daniel Satchell aboard.
Royal Vibes was claimed by trainer Ryan Darby for $700,000.
