KINGSTON, Jamaica - Rough Entry, a Florida-bred bay horse sired by Poseidon's Warrior out of Dixie Ocean by Indian Ocean, foaled on April 30, 2017, has finished his mandatory quarantine period at the Plumb Point facility. He is now residing at Caymanas Park.
Under the guidance of Jamaican trainer Rohan Crichton, Rough Entry has arrived on local soil to participate in the Mouttet Mile on December 2, 2023.
Throughout his career, Rough Entry has started in 34 races. From these starts, he has claimed victory eight times, placed second in six instances, and finished third - three times. Rough Entry's career earnings amount to US$254,526.
In 2023 alone, Rough Entry competed in seven races, achieving two wins and four second-place finishes. He did not secure any third-place finish this year.
His last race took place on September 23, 2023 – a six-furlong Optional Claiming event – which he won in a time of 1:10.60.
