KINGSTON, Jamaica - In a bruising first race to start the nine-race card on Saturday, January 18, 2025, for three-year-old maiden fillies at six furlongs, first by the post, Riley J (Jerome Innis) was disqualified and placed third.
The race was awarded to Wayne’scherrylinks ridden by Dane Dawkins for trainer, Barrington Bernard. Hansa (Raddesh Roman) was elevated to second.
The event also saw jockey Tevin Foster fall from the saddle while riding Sparkling Fire. Early reports are indicating that Foster has not been seriously injured.
