KINGSTON, Jamaica - The third race on Saturday, September 23, 2023, features eight three-year-old maiden horses competing over a mile.

Find below The Quick Galloper's assessments in post-position order.

- HOME ALONE, a bay colt by Soul Warrior out of Nuclear Princess, is trained by Michael Cain Jr and ridden by Devon Thomas. Showing improvement last time out on August 19, he finished third behind Mr Senator and Slam Dunk. With experience from seven starts and suited by the mile distance, Home Alone looks poised to strike.

- SWEET VICTORY, a grey filly by Spieth out of Bitter End, is trained by Howard Jaghai and ridden by Phillip Parchment. Inconsistent in her eleven races to date, she can hit the board if the right version shows up on Saturday.

- PRINCESS TALISE, a bay filly by Savoy Stomp out of Dancing Queen, is trained by Lawrence Freemantle and ridden by Reyan Lewis. Despite previous encouraging performances, she had a disappointing seventh-place finish last time (Sept 23). Refreshed by her trainer and with the lead jockey aboard, expect better.

- ROARING THUNDER, a grey colt by Spieth out of Little Thunder, is trained by Gary Griffiths with Anthony Allen in the saddle. Unimpressive in his 22 career starts, he needs a significant step-up to win this contest.

- CASUAL TREASURE, a bay filly by Casual Trick out of Peace By Peace, is trained by Renex Burrell and ridden by Chalrick Budhai. Racing without a visor but with the tongue tie on this time, she doesn't seem likely to claim victory.

- MR SENATOR, a roan colt by Natural Selection out of Khadiliah, is trained by Anthony Nunes and ridden by Jawara Steadman. Unfortunate to be disqualified on August 19 despite crossing the finish line first, Mr Senator has an excellent chance to secure his initial win over a mile.

- CAPTAIN PHILIP, a chestnut colt by Hedge Fund out of Kandi With A K, is trained by Gary Griffiths and ridden by Oshane Nugent. Underwhelming in his ten starts so far, it's hard to have confidence in his chances.

- MRS LYNTON, a chestnut filly by Nuclear Wayne out of Aguila, is trained by Robert Ffrench and ridden by Dane Dawkins. Racing without blinkers but with cheek pieces on this occasion, she can be ruled out from contention.
