KINGSTON, Jamaica – He was once the poster apprentice when he started his racing career close to three years ago, but like a lot of his colleagues, Bebeto Harvey faded away from the winning post.
The young man was able to recapture some of his memories when he rode his eighth winner this season on Riot Worthley for trainer Borris McIntosh as the 4-5 favourite.
The win for Riot Worthley came in the fourth race which was a Maiden condition event for three-year-olds who have not earn over $250,000 since May of this year– the distance being six furlongs.
The speedy Awesome Glitter (Javaniel Patterson -4-1) went to the lead as the gates opened from the number one draw and led coming into the straight but Harvey took a clear inside run to power away for the win by 3 ¾ lengths.
Awesome Glitter was second with Cry Cry Baby (Conrod Ellis -4-1) third.
