KINGSTON, Jamaica – Once again racing without spectators present, the 10-race card at Caymanas Park got underway after a delayed start to accommodate a change of rider with Justsaytheword winning for jockey Andre Martin and trainer Randolph Scott.
In the Restricted Allowance call for five-year-olds and upwards non-winners of two run over seven furlongs, it was a close and revolving lead involving 3-5 chance Alexa’s Star and Golden Eye. At this time Martin had Justsaytheword in mid-pack in the field of 11 runners.
Alexa’s Star took over in the straight but Martin had Justsaytheword in his ackee, pulling away for a one and a quarter length victory. Alexa’s Star although fighting to the end finished second place with Whatever in third.
This was the first in a while for Martin and his first for 2020.
