KINGSTON, Jamaica – Under cloudy conditions, Rain Drops poured to victory in the Caymanas Saturday fourth, which was a four-year-old and upwards (non-winners of two) call at four furlongs.
It wasn’t much a contest, as Rain Drop (Jordan Barrett), drawn the widest of the 12 runners racing down the straight course, was always with the leading pack and then the bay filly skittered away in the final furlong to win by 3 ½ lengths.
Second went to 1-2 favourite Duke of Springs, with Allan (Anthony Thomas) in the third slot.
Trained by Junior Small, Rain Drops was clocked in a time of 48.1 seconds.
