Racing Commission disciplinary decisions

KINGSTON, Jamaica - The stewards of the Jamaica Racing Commission announce the following disciplinary actions arising from inquiries held at the offices of the Jamaica Racing Commission, 8 Winchester Road, Kingston 10, on Tuesday, October 26 and  November 1, 2021.

Jockey JEROME INNIS who rode CONGRATS SUCKIE in the sixth (6th) race on Monday, September 22, 2021, was suspended for three (3) race days and fined Twenty Thousand Dollars ($20,000.00) for drifting continuously causing interference to STORMY LADY that resulted in the disqualification of CONGRATS SUCKIE.  The suspension will take effect on November 6, 2021.

Jockey NATALIE BERGER who rode RAS EMANUEL in the ninth (9th) race on Saturday, October 9, 2021, was suspended for three (3) race days and fined Twenty Thousand Dollars ($20,000.00) for the interference caused to ROY ROGERS and ANOTHER BULLET in the vicinity of the 1000 metre point.  The suspension will take effect on November 6, 2021.

Jockey AARON CHATRIE who rode MUSKETOON in the third (3rd) race on Saturday, July 3, 2021, was fined Four Thousand ($4,000.00) for the intimidation and interference caused to UNBREAKABLE in the final 300 metres that resulted in the disqualification to MUSKETOON.

Jockey SHANE ELLIS who rode TRULICITY in the sixth (6th) race on Saturday,  September 25, 2021, was cautioned for failing to persevere sufficiently with his mount to obtain a better placing.

Jockey DANIEL SATCHELL who rode CORALANDO in the first (1st) race on Saturday, October 9, 2021, was fined Five Thousand ($5,000.00) for the Laceration on the body of the horse due to the inappropriate use of his whip.

Jockey RUJA LAHOE who rode WINX CHOICE in the fifth (5th) race on Saturday,  October 2, 2021, was cautioned for the interference caused DIOSA DE ORO approaching the 1000 metre point.
