KINGSTON, Jamaica – The eighth race on Saturday, November 4, 2023, features Division Two for three-year-old non-winners of two locally bred horses and a maiden race for three-year-olds and upwards foreigners.

Nine fillies and mares will compete over 6 ½ furlongs.

Here is The Quick Galloper's assessment for your review.

1 - MAGGIE’S TRIK: A chestnut filly by Overanalyze out of Richie’s Trix, trained by Dale Murphy with Paul Francis as the jockey. Note, Maggie’s Trik races with the visor off. She's finding her footing at the non-two level, and the learning continues on Saturday.

2 – NATURAL DANCER: A bay filly by Natural Selection out of Gold Star Dancer, trained by Gary Subratie with Raddesh Roman aboard. She has been off the boil in recent races, and no change is expected.

3 – PRETTY CAROLINE: A bay filly from the USA by Flintshire out of Caroline Victoria, trained by Patrick Lynch with George Samuda riding. Note, Pretty Caroline races with a figure-eight on. This foreigner struggles at this level, but a better effort is anticipated with the figure eight added.

4 – SHOAMITHEBUTCHER: A bay filly by Nuclear Wayne out of Asia’s Dream, trained by Norman Smith with Roger Hewitt aboard. There is nothing to suggest a winning run.

5 – HOT STEPPER: A chestnut filly by Hedge Fund out of Creme De La, trained by Anthony Nunes with Dane Dawkins riding. She's quickly understanding non-two racing and is expected to be competitive in this race.

6 – SHE’S MY HEDGEFUND: A chestnut filly by Hedge Fund out of TheGirlisonfire, trained by Jason DaCosta with Robert Halledeen aboard. Inconsistent in non-two races, it remains to be seen which She's My Hedgefund shows up on Saturday. However, given her 18 previous starts, she cannot be ruled out.

7 – SAVVY GIRL: A bay filly by Savoy Stomp out of Runallday, trained by Anthony Nunes with Tevin Foster riding. Note, Savvy Girl races with blinkers on. She's improving at this level, and with Tevin Foster back as jockey, she is given another chance to secure her second win.

8 – THE LOVE OF GOD: A chestnut filly by Lion Tamer out of The Principal, trained by Lawrence Freemantle with Javaniel Patterson aboard. Her last race on October 14 saw her finish second to Bella Bella over 5½ furlongs. The additional furlong suits her, and she is expected to be in the mix. Ideal for exacta, quinella, and trifecta wagers.

9 – MAY SELLINGTON: A bay filly by Natural Selection out of Lucious, trained by Ryan Darby with Matthew Bennett riding. Her runner-up finish to Power From Above on October 8 signals a return to form, making her a strong contender and viable option.
