Long overdue. The JRC should go all out and rule, six strikes of the whip during the full duration of a race. When will the rule come into force?
ARMSTRONG TONY
Good to hear that local racing is getting up to required international standards.
ROSE J
Why limit this whip rule to only six hits in the straight? It should be for the complete race.
HALL OF FAME
At last, time come.
GARY PATRICK
Thank god meck them go a learn how to balance a horse properly.
DONAVAN LAKEMAN
The strike rule must be implemented most of these jockeys just stand on the back of the horses and beat the hell out of them without any assistance from the jockeys I saw races where the jockeys knees never touch the horses for the complete race but is being whipped. This is a good move hand riding and shuffling is now a lost art.. this will curb the the temptation to resort to the ”maka ”.

Hopefully, this new rule will assist in making the jockeys better riders.

Local racing getting up to speed with the rest of the world. The aninals must be protected.

Good move, better late than never.

Wonder how some of our bustling riders are going to survive.
P MORGAN
Do not hold back. The new rule must include hits per race. The jockeys are professionals and must adapt.

will the new rule start on nov 1st 2023..as the whip rule states six cracks in the straight..that means 400 meters from home..some jockeys are gonna pay hefty fines because of instincts i wont call no names ..but we know who.
I agree with the comments and I am baffled at the reaction of some commentators on the PA. system saying 'great riding '.Ha ha.
