KINGSTON, Jamaica – Jockey Dane Nelson and trainer Anthony Nunes continued their unstoppable winning march as the two just combined to win the second of 10 races on the Saturday card currently taking place at Caymanas Park.
This time it was the two-year-old Above and Beyond who easily won a maiden special weight contest run over 6 ½ furlongs.
Nelson waited a bit on Above and Beyond before taking over the lead after two furlongs of the race were completed closely tracked by Mahogany (Omar Walker – 6-5).
Both Above and Beyond and Mahogany were locked together when they entered the straight but the former had more to give and moved away to win by 2 ¼ lengths.
Mahogany was second with Glock (Oneil Mullings – 7-2) third.
The winning time was a fast 1:18.3.
