KINGSTON, Jamaica – Purple Wayne made it two wins in a row after romping the Caymanas Monday sixth – a three-year-old and upwards Claimer ($750,000 - $700,000) travelling a mile (1,600 metres).

Purple Wayne taking orders from trainer Edward Stanberry after being claimed on last, and with Dane Nelson retaining the ride, raced in mid-pack throughout as the lead changed hands many times.

Nelson made a decisive move with three furlongs left to go in the contest and by the time they turned for home, Purple Wayne was at full throttle. In a flash, Purple Wayne gained the lead and that was that for the rest of the runners.

Salah (Robert Halledeen) was second and Ricky Ricardo (Phillip Parchment) third.
