KINGSTON, Jamaica – Prncsshootingtar laid down the marker for all following her rasping triumph in the first two-year-old race of the 2021 juvenile season – the Caymanas Tuesday third.
Prncsshootingstar won the Betting Gaming and Lotteries/Thoroughbred Owners and Breeders’ Association Juvenile Dash at three furlongs.
Prncsshootingstar, a bay filly bred by Buzz Nightmare – Khaleesi’s Revenge trained by Philip Feanny shot out of her starting stall as if possessed and that was simply that for the other 11 horses who took part in the contest.
The jockey on Prncsshootingstar, Oneil Mullings was easing down the filly in the last half a furlong while clocking a time of 34.3 seconds, just two-fifths of a second off the track record.
Rupunzel (Tevin Foster) at odds of 33-1 was second with Phoenix Risen (Ian Spence) another Feanny inmate third.
Prncsshootingstar was one of two starters by first time sire Buzz Nightmare in this race.
