KINGSTON, Jamaica – Jockey Paul Francis positioned the Donovan Phillipps-trained Princess Sylvia at the front as soon as the gates opened. He then had to battle vigorously in the final furlong to fend off the persistent challenge of Jungle Boogie.
Princess Sylvia mustered enough strength to secure victory by three lengths.
This event featured four-year-olds and up, non-winners of two, racing over 7 1/2 furlongs.
