KINGSTON, Jamaica – The odds-makers at Quickgallop.com have put forward their odds on the 12 horses officially entered in the 10-furlong fillies-only Jamaica Oaks following the official draw for post-positions earlier today, Wednesday, August 2, 2023.
After going through all the relevant statistics, the odds-makers have listed the Fitzroy Glispie-trained Princess Sharon as the 2-1 favourite to win the Jamaica Oaks. The Oaks will be contested on Saturday, August 5.
The odds-makers claim that Princess Sharon is best suited for the distance of ten furlongs, plus Glispie had a knack for success in this Classic event.
Next in the Oaks odds is 1000 Guineas winner Mamma Mia, who the odds-makers believe will be not at her best going this long, but has enough class to be the main threat to the favourite.
