KINGSTON, Jamaica – In her typical style or running, Princess Annie this time with apprentice Kiaman McGregor in the saddle came from well of the pace to win the fourth race at Caymanas Park a short while ago.
Princess Annie got away well in the Restricted Overnight call competed for over a mile but was quickly taken off the pace set by Graydon (Reyan Lewis 47-1).
El Professor (Aaron Chatrie 3-1) and My Elle Belle (Omar Walker – 9-2) were also in the up-front mix.
In the stretch run, El Profesor took over with Marquesas (Dane Nelson 1-2) on the wide outside.
At this time McGregor moved Princess Annie from mid-track to the inside rails and it was then that the 2019 Oak winner got into full gear and was 1 ½ lengths in front when the winning post came.
Second was Marquesas with El Profesor third.
The winning time was 1:37.4.
