KINGSTON, Jamaica - Apprentice Raddesh Roman displayed his talent especially his timing ability with a superb reinsman display on Lover’s Strike for trainer Fitznahum “Features” Williams and owner Eric Martin to win the seventh race on the day. Williams and Martin were winning their second race on the Super Sunday race card at Caymanas Park.

Lovers Strike, running in a Restricted Allowance contest for five-year-olds and upwards – non-winners of three races run over six furlongs was at the back of rivals for most of the journey.

Chrisanli (Devon A Thomas 10-1) and Beltane (Matthew Bennett 3-1) disputed the early with Chrisanli taking over in the straight.

At this time, Lewis was moving Lovers Strike around rivals on the wide outside.

In the straight, it was Chrisanli and Beltane fighting for honours with Seven Eleven (Shane Ellis 7-1) also coming into the mix.

Timing his run to perfection, the young apprentice had Lovers Strike flying on the outside going by Seven Eleven and Chrisanli in the last few strides to earn the victory.

The winning margin in the end was three-parts of a length.

Seven Eleven was disqualified from second and taking off the board.
