KINGSTON, Jamaica - A three-year-old and upwards non-restricted Overnight Allowance call is the highest-level race on the 10-race card for next Monday, June 28, 2021 at Caymanas Park.
The race has attracted a field of nine runners who will travel 7 ½ furlongs (1,500m).
Below is a close look at each runner and their chances of winning.
- CASUAL PEACH: (5 b m by Casual Trick – Toronto Star) – Has been earning her spurs at this level and that process continues on Monday.
- ROHAN KABIR: (5 ch g by Soul Warrior – Raise Your Voice) – A winner on May 15, but that was in claiming and now stepping up once again, Rohan Kabir will find it difficult among these.
- DEJAE’S BOY: (4. dkb. c by Storm Craft – Dream Big) — Continues to improve with each run. Dejae’s Boy is to be commended for reaching this grouping but cannot be expected to deliver a winning effort first time of asking.
- UNCLE FRANK: (7 dkb g by Storm Craft – Dusty Milly) – Finished third in the Alsafra Trophy 16 days ago over a mile. Despite the reduction in the journey, Uncle Frank is expected to be even more competitive.
- EL PROFESOR: (6 b g by Casual Trick – The Principal) – El Profesor did well to finish in third place — 5 ¼ lengths behind Mahogany and Laban on June 21 going six furlongs. If El Profesor can reproduce that effort then he can go home earning again.
- EROY: (USA): (4 b c by Khozan – Golden Bucket) – Finished second behind Father Patrick in the recent Lady Geeta Trophy travelling six furlongs. Eroy should find this extended trip more to his liking making this Overnight contest his best opportunity to add a tick in his win column.
- PRINCE CHARLES: (5 ch g by Mine Over Matter – She’s Spectacular) – Based on his present form, Prince Charles cannot be recommended for a winning run.
- SPARKLE DIAMOND: (USA): (5 ch c by Include – Myntz Connection) – Sparkle Diamond has had his fair share of problems but is slowly finding his way. With the trip not an issue for him, Sparkle Diamond is poised for a good effort. Note the figure-8 is on.
- DOUBLE CROWN: (4 ch g by Bellamy Road – Salty Talk) – Was expected to be one of the top contenders fighting for top honours in the recent Alsafra Trophy, but Double Crown failed to deliver when finishing fourth. Still comfortable here and with his barn in the red-hot zone, Double Crown is given another chance.
