KINGSTON, Jamaica – Veteran jockey Paul “Country” Francis has been visiting the winners’ enclosure very often since the return of racing after a three-month break on June 20.
Francis continued this form when he piloted the Neive Graham trained Breaking Storm (6-5 favourite) to a close win in the first of nine races on the Sunday programme at Caymanas Park.
“Country” choosing the inside rails in a Restricted Allowance IV for four-year-olds and upwards: non-winners of three over four furlongs straight had to dig deep to hold the final burst of Blu Attitude with Dane Dawkins aboard by a neck.
Third went to Big Dream.
