KINGSTON, Jamaica - Stable companions Patriarch and God of Love, both from the barn of trainer Fitzgerald Richards, clash in what is shaping into a two-horse tussle in the Supreme Ventures Limited 20th Anniversary Trophy feature on the 10-race card tomorrow (Saturday, June 26, 2021) at Caymanas Park.
Eight horses are entered at 5 ½ furlongs (1,100m) in the Open Allowance event.
Below is the analysis of each runner and their chances of winning the $1.15-million total purse on offer.
- PATRIARCH: (6 b h by Casual Trick – Electrifying) –Opened his 2021 account on April 8 with a dominating 6 ¾ length win over this distance. Patriarch led from start to finish in a quick time of 1:05.0 in the class below. Despite stepping up here to compete, Patriarch is better than most of these, having had five wins from 11 starts at this trip.
- HARRY’S TRAIN: (USA): (6 ch m by Discreetly Mine – Sweet Dixie Gal) - Cannot be recommended for a winning run based on current form but Harry’s Train could run well enough to go home earning.
- UNIVERSAL BOSS: (5 b g by Casual Trick – Electrifying) – Finished in the ruck behind Mahogany at the Overnight Allowance grade on Monday (June 21) over six furlongs (1,200m). Universal Boss faces a harder task now as he is up in class against speeders of quality.
- DEZZY THE GENIUS: (6 ch g by Legal Process – Exchange Only) – Based on the competition present, Dezzy The Genius is going to be left way behind.
- ROY ROGERS: (5 gr g by Distorted – Soca Party) – Has done nothing since coming to this level and that trend will continue.
- GOD OF LOVE: (5 b g by Adore The Gold – Shanda D) – A winner over this distance on June 7. Then God of Love destroyed rivals by 5 ½ lengths in a clocking of 1:06.2 which is a second and two-fifths slower than the time done by his stablemate Patriarch. God of Love has five wins from nine starts over this distance.
- SEBASTIAN: (5 b g by Western Classic – Sea Treaty) – Has no chance of winning.
- DEEP BLUE SEA: (5 ch h by Blue Pepsi Lodge – Antoinette) – Is going to do his deeds early in the race before giving way.
