KINGSTON, Jamaica – Trainer Ryan Darby reached the significant milestone of saddling his 400th winner when Papa Albert won the third on the Caymanas Wednesday (December 23) third.
Jockey Omar Walker bided his time well as he had Papa Albert with the front runners coming from the number four draw when the gates opened.
Tacking across to the middle of the track and then moving closer to the stand rails, Papa Albert accelerated over the final furlong to win by 5 ½ lengths.
Second was Sharp Skirt with third going to Boss Izzy.
