KINGSTON, Jamaica – Quickgallopja.com is reporting that at the next licencing period, owners of race horses will have to pay more to race their horses at Caymanas Park.
This website understands the owners’ licencing fee is slated to be increased from $10,000 to $15,000.
It is not known at this time if the licencing fees for the professionals in the sport (grooms, trainers, jockeys) will stay at its present levels or will be increased.
It is understood that negotiations for professional fees is still taking place as it involves the input of the insurance company involved.
