The cohort of 39 new trainers, who successfully completed their course of study officially graduated on Friday, May 12, 2023.

At the end of the season, Oral Hayden led the batch of new trainers saddling a total of 15 winners, with his nearest rival being Peter-John Parsard with 11 wins.

In addition to winning 15 races, Hayden also had five second-place finishes, and nine thirds, while Parsard secured seven second-place finishes and seven thirds.

Hayden ended the 2023 racing year in style bringing home a double, Unruly Dude, and Unruly Boss.

“It is an achievement to earn a double on any race day. To do so at the end of the year is no different. Obviously, it is always good to have winners, and for that I am happy and, I say thanks to those at the stables for the work in getting these two winners,” Hayden shared with this website.

As to 2024, Hayden is looking for a better season.

“At present, I have 14 horses under my care, inclusive of one two-year-old, and three – three-year-olds. The rest are the ones who hopefully will earn on a regular basis to keep the stable ticking over.

“In 2024, I want to win as many races as possible, I want my three-year-olds to prosper and grow into Classic contenders which is always the aim of all conditions, and also for my horses to keep as healthy as possible.

“I am grateful for my achievements thus far, but for me and those at the barn, the work has just started,” Hayden ended
