Two on the day for jockey Robert Halledeen

KINGSTON, Jamaica – The howling 1-9 favourite in the Caymanas Sunday seventh One Don had to dig into his reserves in order to record his fourth victory from 17 starts, this time at the Overnight Allowance level travelling six furlongs.

The issue facing jockey Robert Halledeen on One Don was leaving their starting barrier behind their other five rivals, but the bang-in form rider moved his mount without haste through the pack and caught up with leader Fearless Champion (Tevin Foster) after three furlongs were completed.

One Don trained by Gary Subratie and Fearless Champion entered the straight locked together and this was where Halledeen started to pump. One Don reacted by increasing his galloping tempo and eventually pulled away to win by 3 ¾ lengths in a final time of 1:13.1.

Fearless Champion finished second with Unknown Soldier (Aaron Chatrie) taking the third slot.

This was the second winner on the day for Halledeen.
